After the successful commissioning of our first photovoltaic installation in 2023, WienCont took another significant step towards sustainable energy supply in August 2025.

With the installation of a second system, the roof of the container repair workshop as well as the company’s main building have now been equipped with a total of 135 state-of-the-art lightweight panels.

The new photovoltaic system has an installed capacity of 61.35 kWp and is expected to generate around 59,700 kWh of electricity per year. In addition, a powerful high-voltage storage unit with a capacity of 96 kWh has been integrated, providing emergency power capability and thus ensuring an even higher level of supply security.

The entire installation has been designed to allow for easy expansion at any time. With this, we set another milestone in the sustainable energy supply of our company and reaffirm our commitment to climate protection and the responsible use of resources.

Since 2023, WienCont has also been a proud solar partner of the Vienna Solar Power Initiative. Together with many other dedicated companies, we are helping to turn Vienna’s rooftops into solar power plants.
