WienCont

Terminal

Since 1979 now, WienCont provides continuous and customer-oriented service and quality.

The trimodality of its terminal in Vienna allows WienCont to provide connections to rail, road and inland waterways.

At WienCont you will find transport technology at its best. Our terminal in Vienna is situated at the TEN-Corridor 10 and is designed as a multimodal cargo handling terminal.

Rail
As a neutral terminal operator we are for many haulage operators an ideal hub for the handling of block train transports to seaports as well as continental transport nodal points.

With more than 100 trains a week to and from Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Duisburg, Cologne, Rotterdam, Koper, Bludenz, Hall, Budapest, Parma, Dabrowa Gornicza, Halkali and Sopron, WienCont offers connections to major European seaports and cities.

About 200,000 wagons roll through our terminal each year making WienCont one of the most important hubs for the national and international flow of goods. Our qualified employees handle shuttle transports to the major seaports as well as single wagon transports for you.

At our terminal we have 7 rail tracks available for you that can each place one complete train. The access with momentum – so called “Schwungeinfahrt” – at Terminal 1 permits you efficient handling without shunting – it saves both time and costs.

WienCont further handles cluster traffic from or to railway tracks or from other terminals. We also take over the issuing of the electronic bills of lading for you and help you in providing the necessary wagon material.

We will be happy to take over the agency activities for your train transports.

At the port of Vienna we have 4 container crane bridges in action on 170,000 square meters. 15 container carrier trucks with a lifting power of up to 45 tons are also available.

Road
More than 200,000 trucks a year benefit from the optimal connection of the WienCont terminal with the major Austrian main traffic routes.

Inland waterways
Thanks to the opening of the water way Rhine-Danube-Main and the Danube that can be navigated to Southeastern Europe, the WienCont terminal is located directly on the main arteries of inland water transportation. This opens up all new transport perspectives for you, from the ARA ports (Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp) to the Black Sea (Constanta).
